ReplyDeleteThe movie children of the heaven brings the life of Iranian children. The most interesting characters are Ali and Zahra. Ali loses Zahra’s shoes. So, he asks Zahra to share to share his shoes. She also accepts it. Both suffered a lot because of this. One day Ali sees a list of 6 students name who were selected for the running competition and he sees the third prize as sneakers. He pleases his teacher to select him for the competition. Seeing his good performance his teacher selected him. Ali runs in the race to get third prize. Surprisingly, he gets first prize. But Ali worried as he couldn’t able to get the sneakers. Ali’s shoes also worn out as he ran hard in the race. At last their father bought shoes for both of them.
Though these two children are from a poor family they live their life in a perfect way without troubling their parents. But we people always trouble our parents to buy things for us. There are many thing to learn from Ali and Zahra . Hence the movie titled us children of the heaven

The story children of heaven describes the love between the brother and sister. And how they managing their situations without troubling their parents. Though in the very.... little age they do their own works and they were also helps to his parents in their work. If we are in that little age all our thoughts are to play with our neighbors and to buy a new things like that only.... . But they left all that things and helps to a sick mother by doing all the kitchen works. At the same time the little girl Zahra itself handling the little child. But she goes with his brother's condition that ' NOT TO TELL HER PARENT'S THAT HE LOST HER SHOES'( starts where the story begins). And he convinces her by giving some little gifts. Also one day the girl Zahra saw that a girl of his school wearing his shoes. She follows her back to find his house. And the next day he goes with his brother to that girl's house. But on seeing that girl's blind dad they understood their family's situation and they went back to their home. and the little boy Ali went with his father to help him and he too gave his father a confidence in his gardening work. And they earned some money over this. One day Ali got an announcement in their school that there will be a selection for running. Ali has some interest on this. But they selected a list of six members before. But on seeing the prizes, especially for the third prizes they were giving a pair of sneakers. This made Ali more encouraging to make his sister happy by taking part in this content by convincing his sir by showing his talent. But he tries hard to get a third prize. But finally……. he got aaaaaaaa FIRST…….PRIZE. He really feel very sad for this.

CHILDREN OF HEAVEN is about a house without happiness but full of love. In this story the authour mainly characterizes the loving,caring,consoling attitudes of a brother and sister.the main characters in this story is Ali and Zahra.Ali loses his sisters shoes accidentally and manages till the end.Inspite of losing the shoes Ali makes an agreement to share his sneakers with his sister.Though Zahra was caring his brother.Ali was also too affectionate with his sister.He participates in a race by canvincing his PT master.He only noticed the third prize sneakers.He was not ready to see what the forwarding prizes are.He decided to win sneakers for his sister.their innocence comes out when he said that he would exchange the sneakers and get the girls shoes for his sister.Likewise he participates,but unfortunately he wins,besides getting the third prize. Though he won the race he was not happy as he could not win sneakers for his sister.As a gods grace his father buys them each a pair of pretty shoes.Thus an fine art by MAJID MAJIDI.

The movie "children of heaven" brings the story of an Iran family consisting of father,mother,Ali (brother),Zahra (sister),and a baby.The story starts in a cobbler's shop where Ali is repairing his sister's shoe. And he unfortunately he loses his sister's shoe in a vegetable shop on the way. After returning to home he narrated this incident to his sister and try to convince her. After that incident they both shared Ali's sneaker and faced lot of problems and his sister Zahra being a small kid understand's his brother's situation and she did not carried this information to the parents as she know Ali would be punished seriously. One day Ali pleaded a sir to join in a race and sir denied as the dates are over but Ali cried like any thing to register his name and the sir was attracted by the intrest of ali to participate in the race . Ali participated in the race to won third prize as the third prize was a new SNEAKERS which will be useful to his sister . But Ali won first prize in the race but his father bought a pair of new shoes to both Ali and Zahra .
In spite of their poverty both Ali and Zahra led a happy life without troubling parent's. Both Ali and Zahra may not have mobile phones and other electronic gadgets but they had happiness and lovable bonding which is necessary for life . Hence the story is named "children of heaven"
"THE CHILDRENS OF HEAVEN" - Such a sentimental story...Ali takes his little sister Zahra's shoes to the cobbler to be repaired, but loses them on the way home. The siblings decide to keep this as a secret from their parents, knowing that there is no money to buy a new pair and fearing that they will be punished.So, they decided to share sneakers: Zahra will wear them to school in the morning and hand over them to Ali at noon so he can attend afternoon classes. This uncomfortable arrangement leads to one adventure after another as they attempt to hide the plan from their parents and teacher. Oneday, Zahra sees the shoes on a schoolmate's feet, and follows her home, but the two soon become friends.Ali enters a high-profile children's footrace in the hope of receiving the third prize of a new pair of sneakers. He accidentally places first and wins another prize instead.
ReplyDeleteThe film ends with Zahra finding out that she will not get a new pair of shoes, but there is a quick shot of their father's bicycle at the end of the movie that shows what appears to be the red shoes Zahra had been focusing on earlier and another pair of white sneakers for Ali, whose old sneakers were torn from so much use. The film ends with the final shot showing wounds on Ali's feet.
At last made me to cry, because I dont have elder brother. Most of my friends have brothers so I ask them to give their brothers to be brother for me. I know that is something crazy, but I love brothers. So, I will be little emotional on seeing this kind of brother - sister sentimental scences in any movie.
They were rightly called the "childrens of heaven" because they make themselves happy with whatever they have with them. There is strong bond of love and affection between them. Being a children is most beatiful part in our life as we enjoy it to the core without thinking of any problems. Everybody wants to be a child again if god permits . . .

ReplyDeleteThe movie CHILDREN OF HEAVEN clearly picturise the pain and struggles in the life of the Children of Iran. The major two roles in the movie are Ali and Zahra.
By watching the Ali's character in the movie surely our heart would ask us aquestion,what we did to our parents??? Just at the age of 9 where a boy should enjoy his childhood life but Ali completely sacrifices it to help his mom and dad. He clearly understands his family situation and poverty,he helps his parents.
Zahra the little sweet girl who is fond of her shoes but when Ali lost it she cried but did not tell to her parents. She shared Ali's sneekers to school. She did not liked it but when Ali explained his father situation she understood it. She also helps her mother by washing vessels. It is pitty to see such a little sweet girl washing these things.
But inspite of their pain at last they get what they need........Hence they are "CHILDREN OF HEAVEN"....

ReplyDeleteThis story "the children of Heaven" picturises the lives of two children named Ali(9 years old boy) and Zahra(Ali's younger sister) belonging to a poor Iranian family where the father is under pressure even to pay house rent,mother being ill.Ali and Zahra had to look after all their household works and take care of the youngest child.Inspite of their ages they are mature,understood their family situations and behave accordingly.They didn't want to trouble their parents even under critical situations.When Ali lost zahra's shoes they decided to share Ali's sneakers and decided not to trouble their father.Ali even sacrificed playing games with his friends and helped his ill mom.
It is to be noted that inspite of their family conditions they were at the top grade in educational and sport activities.
The bonding between Ali and Zahra is also very touching.when Ali was presented a pen by his master he gave it to Zahra.He also asked his father to bye her a pair of new shoes instead of asking anything to himself.He also wanted to get third prize so that he could buy Zahra a pair of shoes by exchanging the sneakers(which is a actual reward)even he has the ability to win the race.Zahra on the other hand didn't complaint her father that Ali lost her shoes.she also accepted to share his dirty sneakers and she rushed after her class to exchange his sneakers.This shows their love for each other.The helping tendency is also great.when zahra found her lost shoes worn by another girl,she didn't fight with her.Instead she took her brother to the girls house.There ,when they saw the girl's family condition, they just left her house without asking her shoes.This shows the quality of their characters.The story also finished with a happy ending that they finally got new shoes bought by their father.They are completely different from the other children of similar age groups and their maturity is ahead of their ages.Thus this story shows that the characters Ali and Zahra are to be the children of heaven...

ReplyDeleteChildren of heaven is a interesting perfect story for children and of course every one would like too.the main character of this movie are Ali who plays a role of brother and zahra who plays a role of sister.Ali lost his sister shoes After repairing from cobbler.he comprises his sister and shares his sneakes with zahra.they troubled while sharing the shoes.there was a race in running.ali decided to participate because third price was a pair of shoes.atlast whether he had participated or not or whether he had won the third prize or not is the main story of the film.these movie shows how poor peoples struggles in their daily life.ALI hero of the story who is best option.though his friends called him to play,he rejected because he understands that his mother was ill.he understands the family situation and helps their parents and behaves like a matured person.the love between brother and sister was heart touching one.zahra acted really well because she compromised by seeing impressive things like pen and big pencil.Ali's father also done his jobs perfectly by showing his anger to his siblings.His character shows how parents are struggling to earn money and parents become very happy when they came to know that their siblings are talent.Ali's mother didn't given much importance.this movie tells that still many children are struggling in their life to come up with out basic need but we are not trying to come up in life still having basic need.

ReplyDeleteCHILDREN OF HEAVEN, a film by Iranian filmmaker, Majid Majidi, takes us into the world of a little boy, Ali and his sister, Zahra, letting us feel the love and trust that they have in each other. The boy, though had no fault of his own, loses his little sister's newly repaired school shoes and so she is left with no shoe for her to go to school. Then they try sharing a pair of his sneakers -- the girl wearing them in the morning and he in the afternoon to school. According to me those wonderful, innocent faces of children and their decision in choosing to solve their problem themselves, without telling their parents, is what makes the story so heart-warming and unique. Ali, against all odds, determines to run a long-distance race and to win the third price so that he could get a new pair of sneakers for his sister. But surprisingly Ali comes first in the race and the ultimate despair Ali felt when he won was also so heartbreaking. And finally the story ends with his father buying a pair of shoes for both Ali and Zahra. This movie is worth watching as it drives home the point that we can overcome any situation with trust and love, even if we don’t have money. even though Ali and Zahra live in poverty , they have enough love and trust for each other hence they are children of heaven.

this story shows the challenging life of the poor iranian people. here the hero of the story is the little boy named Ali and he had younger sister Zahra. even-though they were small in age, they were experienced old persons in their actions. One day Unfortunately he missed the sneakers of Zahra. so that he gave his sneakers for her to go to the school and he get back after her school over. both of them facing problems at their school. they can asked their father to buy new one. But they not done that. Because they know the condition of their family. here they played a vital role. Ali is the brilliant student. As he got high marks , teacher offered him a pen. But he gave it to her to console her sadness. One day he came to know about the 4 metre running race. 3rd price is sneakers. but he was too late to register his name. he said that he can run fast. after some time, he was tested. he show his efficiency that even his teacher was surprised and register his name to the running event. his aim is to reach third to get the sneakers. he tried for that.this race is the fantastic scene for all.it is the heart piece of the story. He crossed the others racers with great effort. At before some meters from the finishing line, one of the racers had made him to fell down. but by his strong heartened, he stood up and start running without wasting even a second.finally he came first.All of them were happy except the boy as he was unable to get sneakers. what a great soul!.....He was very much depressed that he can't protect the promise to her sister.The story ends with a fantastic climax. I just loving to see the movie. the title children of heaven is a perfect suit to the these children.thus a wonderful movie was arted by MAJID MAJIDI.

Once ali lost his sisters shoe , but they didn't tell to there home , and decided to share there shoes of ali till the new one comes . But it felt bad to ali and he decided to buy a new shoe by winning race the reason that he didn't tell to there home is they where in money trouble , so he understood there family condition . From this we need to be ourselves depended , we should not blame simply my parents didn't do this we should live whatever we have , it will make family and nation happy

ReplyDeleteCHILDREN OF HEAVEN is a movie which was written and directed by Majid Majidi.The characters in this story are father,mother,brother,sister and a small baby.The film is about a boy who loses his sister's shoes.On the other hand the boy is very dedicated to his family and also he understood the situation of his family and helps hand in hand.So he told his sister not to inform it to their parents and we both share one pair of sneakers.The next day Zahra(sister) put a pair of shoes to the school and when school finished she ran all the way to reach Ali.And then ali goes to school due to the exchange of shoe he get late to the school all the day.On another day Zahra notices the shoes with another girl she follows her to his home and she came to know that she is also from poor background.Ali came to know about a marathon race going to held within school level and also notices that for third prize the award is a pair of shoes he decide to replace with her sisters shoes.So with his pet master's help he enter into the race.He decided to come third but his willingness and his sportsmenship makes to come first.But he is not happy when he comes first but all of the teachers are very happy.On the other hand his father bought a new pair of shoe for zahra.Thus the story ends here.Thus in this story all the children are compared to god.Every children in this story had a some sort of goodness eventhough they are a children.Hence the title "CHILDREN OF HEAVEN" perfectly matches.

This story is based on pair of shoes .The main intersting characters are ALI and ZAHRA are two children.Both of them were poor family .Ali has lost Zahra's shoes. But ali said we can share my shoes and it is tough task also. one day ali saw running competion ,noticed in his school and winners of 1st ,2nd 3rd had a price mainly the 3rd price is sneaker.Ali has willingness to join the race for her sister's sneaker.Ali also joined the race to won the 3rd price .But unfortunetly he won the 1st price this made Ali very disappointed.At the same time his father brought a new shoes to her .Finely the story''CHILDREN OF HEAVEN" described Mutal understanding about them and to be calm..

ReplyDelete"Children Of Heaven" is a wonderful film which describes about the family,who does their best to pull together of great financial difficulty.This movie tells about the relationship between a brother and sister in an excellent manner.When Ali loses his sister's Zahra sneakers,the two decide to share Ali's sneakers to avoid getting in trouble.
The interesting scene is the adjustment between Ali and Zahra.Zahra wear Ali sneakers to school everyday and she rushes to home very fast and gives them to Ali.But Ali misses his class.
The heart-breaking scene is when Zahra sees her lost shoes is being worn by the blind ragpicker's daughter.
The heart-touching scene according to me is Ali gives his pen , which is given by his sir for his marks in test,to Zahra so that Zahra would not tell about lost sneakers to dad.Also when Ali's father borrows some gardening equipment,himself and Ali finds the house which is in the need of some gardening work. There Ali gets Alireza as his friend.
The heart-melting scene is Ali participating in 4km running race and wishing to win 3rd prize, so that he could give a new sneakers to Zahra,as sneakers were announced as 3rd prize.But Ali wins 1st prize.
Finally Ali's father buy a pair of sneakers for Ali and Zahra.The wonderful scene is Ali dipping his blistered feet into water and fish were running towards it.

After getting the shoes repaired he goes to a shop to buy potatoes where he loses Zahra’s shoes. He returns home and says Zahra about the lost shoes. Ali and Zahra’s conversation about the lost shoes is a cute picturization which will surely remind the audience about their brothers and sisters. Then the movie takes off by sharing a pair of sneakers. This creates a lot of confusion and problems for Ali in his school. Ali's father, anxious to earn more money, borrows some gardening equipment and heads off with Ali to the city to find some gardening work. They try many places without success, though Ali proves to be a great help to his father. Finally, they come upon a mansion in which a six-year-old boy named Alireza lives under the care of his grandfather. While Ali plays with Alireza, his father works. One day Zahra decides to tell about the lost shoes to her mother. Ali convinces Zahra by giving her a new pen. After few days Ali sees a list of six names selected for distance running competition and the third prize was a pair of sneakers. He decides to take up the challenge to give Zahra a new pair of sneakers. But he wins the race and gets first prize. He comes disappointed and returns home. Meanwhile Ali’s father had brought them a pair of shoes.
This story is quiet interesting and touching. It portrays that there is no sort of relation between money and happiness. Even though they are not rich it just shows how caring and understanding they are. This story really triggers and cherishes the memories of audience.

This story tells us about the care, love and understanding nature of the poor siblings even though they don’t have much to enjoy. Some scenes really make us reminded about our siblings.
The Iranian film “CHILDREN OF HEAVEN” revolves around two main characters Ali and his sister Zahra. On the way back home after doing various errands, Ali loses his sister’s pair of shoes. He convinces Zhara not to tell to their parent. He also readily shares his pair of sneakers with his sister. Because of it he ends up late in his school not once but twice. When his school master hands him punishment, his teacher saved him as he is disciplined in the class. The movie too reveals the softand submissive nature of Ali and Zhara and their love for each other. When Ali sees a list of 6 students names in the race competition and the award for third winner as a pair of sneakers, he convinces his PT teacher to include his name. He won the 4 km race, but felt bad for not coming third but first. At last his father buys each of them a pair of sneakers. A moment of enchantment blowing bubbles, a time of panic when a sneaker falls in an active sewage drain, and the soothing comfort of cooling feet in the courtyard pond. Poverty brings them close to GOD which is revealed by their respect and love towards other human being. Children of Heaven is a sheer delight from start to finish.

Actually this film characterizes the two children in Iran about their life style, habits, their happiness, and the desires in very small things ………. That shows their innocence in their maturity …, this film is about a brother and sister of very poor family who depend on others hands for their food even …., the film starts like that brother missing her sister shoes ……., and she cries and feels about what and how she will go to the school…, somehow he convinced her from telling the truth to their mom and dad…., the story totally visualize the poverty that poor people face in their life and how those people feel happy for small small things …., and also the film expresses the love and affection between those sister and brother …., and did she really got her shoe back ?????? In what those two children came out of the trouble????? Did they came out of the poverty line????? Answers for all these questions will given by the climax ….. You will feel the taste of the fruit at the end…… tragedy with sentiment is the junior of the story

ReplyDeleteThe title “CHILDREN OF HEAVEN” is the absolute title for the movie. The boy ALI and his SISTER ZAHRA were the lovable persons. They both care a lot for their family. They understood their family situation and they both are acting according towards their situation. The boy explains his sister in the sensible manner, that his father is not having enough money to buy shoes for her. The ALI and his SISTER ZAHRA are helping and sacrificing a lot for their family.
I used to be very conscious of my own particular things. I don’t use to give my own belongings to my sisters. But in this movie both ALI and his SISTER ZAHRA are sharing their belongings to one another. Eventhough the boy won first prize in the race but he was sad because his thought was only to get third prize, to get the shoes as his gift. From this movie we can learn how to SACRIFICE and ADAPT OURSELVES according to the situation.

This movie deeply expresses the relation between a brother and sister at the childhood age . It shows how those children hep their parents, and being happy even in poverty.
As suitable to the title, this movie explains that the hearts of children are pure and peace. The BGM makes every scene more touching and affectionable and the story ends in a soul melting way.

It is an emotional story too...that shows Brother and Sister's realtionship never breakdown.The one of most touchable scene is that Sahra's brother Ail,runs in marathan for her sister to buy a pair of shoes. Because at first when he went to buy potatoes in the shop, he missed his sister's shoes.At the time running he only remembered his sister's crying and scolding words of him about her sister.so that t he ran very enthusiastically to get only thrid price to win a pair of shoes. But he won the first price,he could not refuse it.
The story shows that "Brother is the first friend to his Sister... They can share everything in their life... They wont be misunderstand at any cost... This relationship is a gift of god"

The movie was fully about a brother & a sister of an Iranian family,who were Ali and Zahra. The movie showed that how they both gave importance to a pair of sneakers. Eventhough they werefrom a poor family,the movie showed the real richness of the children from their thinking.They did not give up eachother at any moment.The sharing nature between them showed that how they adapted themselves to their family situations though they were young and the real care of a brother to his sister simply touched my heart. In order to get a new pair of sneakers to his sister, ali participated in 4km running competition, he tried a lot to won the third prize. But he came first in that race. Eventhough he got first prize, his mind was fully about getting the sneakers to his sister which was announced as the third prize. Ali felt bad that he would not keep up his promise which he had made to his sister. Finally, they both stayed happy that their father bought them a new pair of sneakers. With the help of a single pair of sneakers, the director explained the relationship between a brother and a sister in an excellent manner. And therefore they appeared as THE CHILDREN OF HEAVEN.

The movie is about a brother and sister relationship .Ali the brother who loses newly repaired shoes of his sister Zahra unfortunately. The concept takes with the shoes .They don’t have much money to buy a new shoes because of they poverty level .Somehow he convinced her sister to share his sneakers in morning and he uses them evening to school.
Instead of being poor even the brother and sister relationship deeply express their love and affection.They both care a lot for their family. Ali tooks up a long distance race so that he can won a pair of sneakerson winning the third prize .But eventually he won the first prize in the race .At the same time their father also got some more money to buy a shoes for their children.At the end of the story the family even in trouble of money they lived happily.
Zahra and Ali are the “CHILDREN OF HEAVEN” because of their scarification for their family in the movie. As similar to this story I have a brother he loves me a lot but I always give him trouble as affectionately. Though he know Im doing all those crazy things to him for fun he enjoy it with me only for MY HAPPINESS .

"CHILDREN OF HEAVEN"is the wonderful story which was directed by MAJID MAJIDI in the 1997.It has so many interested parts.In the begin of this story,ali missed his sister's shoes.Then he went to his home and said about the shoes matter to her sister.And also he said an idea to her sister,go to shcool without shoes.He give his shoes to his sister.He planed to wear the shoes after finishing his sister's class.She have seen the lost shoes with some another girl and told her brother about this.And they went to that girl's house to get back her shoes.But that girl's father is blind person.So they did not ask shoes to her.His school announced running race and also it decided to give shoes for third prize.So he joinned race for winning third prize.But he got first prize.So he felt verysad.But his father bought a new shoes for Ali and his sister.In the end of story,they were very happy.
(CHILDREN OF HEAVEN - REVIEW ). The director effectively represented his views through the characters of ALI and LAHRA. The plot was supportive to the story. The background music suited the situation. Every character has given its best.The boy's character is the key role in this movie. There were no unnecessary secenes in this movie. Which shows the care taken in the editing area. The director concluded with a excellent climax. Finally the movie gives a sensitive touch probably a PAASA MALAR ( Tamil ) in iran

Ali's father takeshim to town for finding a job of Gardner in any house. When they reached the town both were very tired. At the time Ali realise that how her father work hard. Author says that how all the father are tried to make stable his family.
Author very smartly makes the intention of the boy Ali. These character shows how the relationship is between brother and sister.
Finally author shows that thoughts of the boy Ali was expressed in the race these shows that thoughts only become true in life.
Thus this is very fantastic and emotion story.

This movie is between two important characters of iran children."HERO" of the film,the boy "ALI" expresses his love with his sister zahra.one shoe play major role of turning his life.Especially,he got first prize in running around lake shown in the film .In small age he know about his family situation of his father's poor condition and mom ill condition.The P.E.T master also help for express his talent in form of running.This film ends with drops of dears for us.

The children of heaven is a wonderful film from iran . It is directed by majid majidi, and he is certainly to be lauded for crafting a wonderful and special movie. Nine years old ali is running errands for his mother .... picking a bread from the baker , and waiting while his sisters shoes or repaired by a shoe maker in a street side stall. While picking up potatoes,the shoes are taken by a blind trash hauler accidently, and that event set off a chain of event which will affect all the characters in this film. All convinces his sisters to keep queit , and the two decide the share of one shoes with heart warming and hilarious result
This movie is awesome. A little boy his name is Ali. He lived in a middle class family.His sister name is zahra. One day he lost her shoes. He tries to convince her. so, he give an idea both are wearing his sneakers. He dont like his sister running continuously everyday. Because of exchanging their footwears. And also he does not bare their parents for buying a new sneaker. so, he decided to participates in a running competition. He wants to win the THIRD PRIZE. because, that prize is a new pair of sneaker. But he won FIRST PRIZE.
ReplyDeleteIn my point of view the director MAJID MAJIDI told that all the children from heaven.because,the character Ali and zahra understanding their family situation.He tells about the relationship between the brother and sister. It is very nice. It touches all our heart. It is very sentimental touch.The author's creative is very nice and wonderful. Because, in the running competition he creates the character Ali he wants only the THIRD PRIZE. so, he give the way for two other children. He proves "There is no best companion better than the brother" through this story.
The movie scenes are so sentimental between the world best relationship that brother and sister.Every scene made an eager to seeing the next scene. In the movie both brother and sister recognise their parent's financial status even in the small age, and they don't want to their bear for them. In the end of the movie the brother named Ali running furiously for his sister who named Zara, to win sneakers for him beacuse he lost her shoes somewhere else. Both the children have the intelligence,kind, respect, mercy, and all of the best characters and also in the poor status they have no greed for money so I thouhgt the given title CHILDREN OF HEAVEN is apt to the movie " There is a best protective feel when holding brother's hand like we in the mother's womb".
ReplyDelete" CHILDREN OF THE HEAVEN " the name sounds something related to spiritual stuffs but the actual theme seems to explain the bonding between a brother and sister and how they tackle the financial crises.This Iranian movie moves the spotlight to the other face of Iran where people battle to make both ends of a week meet. Ali and Zara are the main characters of the movie.Ali looses his little sister's pair of repaired shoes and goes in search of it but in vain. Finally they decided to conceal it from their parents as thier father can't afford to uy her a new pair of shoes. Ali lend his pair of sneakers to Zara and they exchange it during their shcool hours. This routine goes on and one fine day Zara happend to see a girl in her school assembly wearing a shoe similar to the one which she had lost. She tells Ali about it and both of them set on to enquire about the shoe to that girl's house there they came to know that the girl's father is blind and so they silently walked away. One day in Ali's school a faulty announced about a long running race, Ali didn't mind much about it. The selection was over and the next day the results wewre declared in the poster and Ali came to know about the rewards , the only thing which caught his eyes was " THIRD PRIZE SNEAKERS" he ran to the PT teacher and begged him to admit him into the race. He cried so badly and also promised to run fast leaving behind everyone, the teacher was very much moved and tested his speed and was really astonished. That day Ali came home and looked at Zara with a twinkle in his eyes and said all about the race and assured to win the sneakers.On the day of the race Ali and his schoolmates reached the destination and he looked around obsessed because for most of the participants their parents were pampering and cheering them. The race began and everyone were jostling each other to be the first. Towards the end, Ali was in the leading but he let two other guys go ahead him merely for the sake of sneakers but a guy bumped him and he tumbled down . He somehow managed to continue the race by the time many guys were ahead of him. Zara's grumbling voices lingered in his ears and he decided not to disappoint her it triggered him to run faster and faster ultimately he came first but isn't it ironic that he cried even after winning the race. He has missed the sneakers and felt betrayed he glanced at it with yearning eyes and sobber face. The last scene in which the father buys a pair of shoes and sneakers for both of them out of the money earned from gardening consoles the viewers . Finally the moment Zara's smile fades seeing Ali empty handed imprints an everlasting impact. The emotions are very well screened. Maybe they could hhave also screened the excitement of the kids on receiving the shoes. The movie was heart melting and it really makes us yearn for a Brother like Ali.

ReplyDeleteThis film was really different from other films which we see regularly.It was an interesting among other films which i have seen earlier.This film clearly displayed the BROTHER-SISTER relationship and excellent bonding between them. This story started with a girl's cute pink shoe which was given to her brother to get stiched.The brother unfortunately loses that shoe and stands little shamed before her sister.Then they plans to hide this matter from their parents.Ali(Brother) gives a pencil as an alternative to not to say to parents.When Zara(sister) asked Ali how to go to school without shoes,he will say to wear his shoes and till that he will wait still she is back from school.Then when he gets highest mark in class sir gives him a golden pen.He gives that pen to her sister and consoles her that he will find the shoe.Zara gets convinced and shows a big happiest smile in her face.On one day when she was standing in an assembly she looks all shoes in obessed condition and finally see her lost shoe worn by another girl.She shares this news with Ali and both of them went to that girl's house.When they saw the blind dad of that little girl they felt sad and started forgetting the shoe.At that time in school they announced a running competition for his grade students.He was actually very much interested in that but at first he din't participate by seeing his torn shoe.But when he came to know that the third prize was a cash reward and a pair of sneakers he decided to participate and win third prize.He got selected in school level and participated in junior marathon.He was actually aiming to win only third prize,but unfortunately his sister's love and the guilty feeling of losing her shoe made him to get first prize.According to me,this scene symbolically indicated that his love towads his sister only got first prize.Ali felt very sad that he was not able to buy a shoe for his loving sister.At that time their dad has earned enough money and bought shoes for both of them.
This story brought a different colour to Iran.This film showed the character of rich people living in town of not believing in strangers.After watching this movie i personally felt that no place can be replaced in brother's place.I missed that relation.Now i am longing for a brother's relationship which cannot happen.I got a lot memories of my cousines with whom i spent my childhood naughtily.The small fights done in childhood will bring huge memories in future.Thus,"beyond brother's protection no evil can harm us."

ReplyDeleteThe story CHILDREN OF HEAVEN directed by MAJID MAJIDI brings a cute relationship between a brother and a sister which is making us feeling dumbstruck.The cute brother here is ALI and his sister is ZHARA.The whole story is happening in IRAN.Ali being a small school going boy owns small small responsiblities in his family which is appreciateable.When he lost zhara's cute pink shoes in a store,he goes in search of the shoes.But he could'nt find them as it was taken by a man who keeps saling old things in a cheaper rate.When Zhara comes to know this,she blackmails Ali that this matter will be taken to their father.Ali assures that he will find the shoes as soon as poosible.Until then he granted Zhara his sports shoes.Everyday he keeps waiting for Zhara to come so that he can go to his school .This was continuing for a longtime.Unfortunately he was caught one day by the principal and a warning was given to them.Suddenly one day an announcement for the running race competition was announced by his PT master .To Ali's fortune the third place was alloted with a pair of sports shoes as a prize.On the other side Zhara's longing for her shoes increased day by day which could not be tolerated by his sweet brother Ali. So Ali decided to participate in the race so that he can give the shoe to his sister Zhara. Though his name was not displayed for the competition,he convinces his master that he will surely win the race and the way he proved that he is fit for the race is just awesome.The way he showed his talent to his master made him get selected for the competition.Ali was very determined to win the third place.But it did'nt work out well .yes ,he did'nt get what he expected .He got more,he got the first place because of his sister's love for him.Atlast their himself got a cute shoe for Zhara. But Ali was not satisfied as he was not able to able to get the shoe for his lovable sister Zhara.The story ended up here .In this way each and every brother sister relationship should be there.It is an universal truth that there will be always a strong bonding of relationship between a brother a sister which can't be destroyed even by the god.....

The story starts from the Pincky shoe. Ali who is the of Zhara. One day Ali repaired Zhara's shoe at that time he lost her shoe. the children decided to hide this from their parents. The children knows the financial promblem of their family. Ali convince Zhara by giving Pen and Pencil.Days passed Ali didn't find her shoe. Both the children are very intelligent,respecting and helping their parents,mercy all are good character. The children share a single pair of shoe. One day Ali principle announced for long distance race Ali didn't mind about the race. After registration is over the prices are posted in notice board Ali wants to know the prices. Suddenly he saw "THIRD PRICE SNEAKER" he decided to participate. ALI run toward PT master requested and cryed badly to register his name and also saying HE surly got a price. After seeing the performence of Ali PT master decided to register his name. Ali told this matter to Zhara. she feel happy.NExt day long distance race starts Ali begins to run after sometimes one guy is also participate in this race that guy made Ali to fall down. Ali think about Zhara's in mind and booted to run so fastly..........At the neck of the moment Ali got the first price. Ali wasn't happen to got first prices his aim to win sneaker for his lovable sister. At Ali's father bought new pairs of sneaker for both children.
The movie is Awesome and the brothers and sister relationship also very nice and interesting

The movie Children of Heaven is an Iranian movie released in 1997 written and directed by MAJID MAJIDI. It deals with a brother and sister and their adventures over a lost pair of shoes. The film starts with Ali ( small boy) fetching a pair of pink shoes after the cobler has repaired it. he leaves them unattended to buy potatos and suddenly a man cleaning the garbages takes them away thiniking it was a garbage.Ali's family is poor having a lot of financial trouble. so, ali was afraid to tell this issue to his father and he begs his sister not to tell his mother and she agrees. The finally find a solution that ali's sneakers will be used by both of them, meanwhile he will find the shoes for her.and in the middle of the zahra(ali's ister) finds that her shoes were with a girl studying in her school. Both brother and sister discovers that the girl with zahra's shoes has a blind father. so,they return back. and this inturn shows their sympathy for them. Kind attitude even in a poor state. They have a wonderfull mind set in this small age. Ali and father goes to the town for gardening and due course ali informs his father to buy a shoe for zahra. this attitude of ali shows he is not being biased. Ali finds that there has been a race arranged in his school and he tries to join the race because the third price for the race was a pair of sneakers. Ali wins the race for his sister. This shows his immense love for his sister. Ali in this small age has an matured mind set which is really mind blowing. Ali winning the race for his sister touched my heart. tears rolled down my eyes during the climax of the movie. And finally the director ends the movie by showing Ali's father buying two pairs of shoes for both. The movie was only for 89 minutes but it created a sort a strong feeling in my heart.The true love of a brother and ssiter.its really amazing.

This story emphasis a true fact that there is something beyond war , culture , race , religion etc . That is love. No one can deny this fact that love is more powerful than weapon ....... This story tells the love for each other in a poor family in Iran . This story also portrays the determination of the children to make do even in dire circumstances.
ReplyDeleteOn the way home after doing various works , Ali loses the newly repaired shoes of his younger sister Zahra. Since their family condition is economically not well, the boy doesn't want to tell his parents the bad news....So he and Zahra were eventually put into a situation where they have to share a pair of his worn out sneakers. She uses them for the morning classes at school , then runs to meet him so he can wear them for his afternoon school.......All this running puts a strain on them. Adding worse to the situation Ali and his father met with a minor accident while returning from the rich part of the city. At Ali’s school they announced about a long-distance race , initially Ali didn't show any interest in it .after learning that the third prize is a pair of sneakers Ali wanted to participate in the race. But fortunate or unfortunately Ali won the first prize......
A encounter with the school headmaster, a moment enchantment with blowing bubbles, a time of panic when sneaker falls in an active sewage drain and the soothing comfort cooling feet in the courtyard pond , were really beautiful scenes.
Though they had a really bad time while sharing the shoes they didn't even think of saying it to their parents and moreover when they came to know with whom her shoes was there they didn't make a try to get back it from them because their family condition was worse than Ali’s family because that girls father is a blind. Hence the title of the film is more perfect for this story

So they decided to share his sneakers..Zahra will wear Ali's sneakers to school every morning, and then run home so that Ali can put them on for his school in the afternoon..but zahra was not fast enough so ali gets in trouble for being late to school.. Zahra happened to see a girl wearing her shoes in the school assembly.. she tells it ali..they find that the girl's father was a blind and silently moved away.. Ali's PT master announced about a running competition.. but ali did not join..he saw the prizes for the race in bulletin board ..he noticed that the third prize is a new pair of sneakers.. so he decided to participate so that he could give his sister who was longing for a new pair of shoes.. But he got the first prize.. he could not give her the sneakers instead his father bought a new pair of shoes and sneaker for them.. It was a heart touching story. Instead their poverty they are really happy.. so this title "CHILDREN OF HEAVEN" suits good....

Apart from war , fight.....etc this movie shows a perfect relationship between a brother and a sister. This movie is from Iran. This story is about a home without happiness. This movie was released in 1997 and was written and directed by MAJID MAJIDI. This movie starts with a small boy named Ali. He had a cute sister named Zahra. This story tells about Ali who loses his sister's shoes. He takes them to the cobbler for repair and on the way home while he was buting vegetables for his mother, a blind trash collector accidentally carries them away.Ali's family was in a great financial trouble. so he was afraid to say to his father. He begged his sister not to say.He told his sister that she would wear his sneakers and go to school. His sister too agreed with that......oneday Zahra saw a girl wearing her shoes in the school. On that evening Zahra and Ali followed and reached that girl's house. There they both find that the girl's father was blind.They both returned home with sympathy........In Ali's school a race was announced by his PT master. But Ali didn't care for that......He suddenly saw that the THIRD PRIZE for the race was A PAIR OF SNEAKERS. So he decided to take part inthe race. He pleaded his PT master and finally he joined the race......At last he won the FIRST PRIZE in the race. Even though he won the first prize ,he was sad and upset. He felt that he couldn't give a pair of shoes for his sister. At last his father bought a new pair of shoes for Zahra. Children of heaven is played between brother and sister. It is a film about 9 years old boy named Ali his younger sister Zahra and this scheme for sharing a pair of tattered sneakers. The children want to hide the fact that Zahra’s shoes have been lost because this will be a hardship for their parents. The family carefully detailed poverty which reflects the filmmaker own childhood experience.
This story tells about Ali who lost his sister shoes. He took that shoes and went to the cobbler for repair and on the way he lost her shoes. He told to his sister that he missed her shoes. On hearing that she cried a lot and he begged her not to tell to his father because they are financially low.so he planned to share his sneakers ,by morning Zahra used to wear and she exchange to him on the way of his school. One day Zahra saw a girl wearing his shoes and she followed her with Ali and at last they found that her father was blind on seeing this they return silently.
One day Ali and his father went to earn some money for their family expanses. They earned good amount and return back to his home by using bicycle ….they met with an accident because the break wire is not in a proper condition .but both were safe.at that time, Ali’s school had announced the race and the prizes. He found that the third prize would get a pair of shoes. He wanted to won the prize because he wanted to gift her sister a pair of shoes. He begged her PT master to join in the race. He tries a lot to get third prize. But he didn’t because he got first price….even though he got first prize he felt very sad because he missed a chance to gift her a shoes.atlast his father brought a pair of sneakers and shoes for Ali and Zahra……………
What a look at a society which values looking relationship between brother and sister .I felt very sentiment after saw this film on the screen I saw only me and my brother instead of Ali and Zahra. It was an excellent movie because how these children came to know his family background in their childhood days and what their mind set is………because of this the director named a story as

The boy name was Ali and his sister name was Zahra. They were poor family. his mother gave an another one baby and her ad health condition made her cannot do any work. So Ali and Zahra help to her mother. One day Ali was going to a market and he made his sister,s damaged shoes become great. after he went to a food shop to buy a food for his family and going to a vegetable shop to buy an some potatoes. At that time he put the shoes in one place of the vegetable shop. on the side a trash collector came and collect the wast papers with the shoes. After Ali search all the place of the shop he couldn't find the shoes. He missed the shoes. He came back to his home and his sister asking him to she want saw her shoes. Ali told her with crying sorrowfully"Zahra i missed the shoes". Zahra crying for without shoes how she was going to school. Ali said we shared my sneakers. Zahra accepted this and wear his shoes daily. First Zahra wear the shoes and go to school after Ali wear the shoes and go to school daily late and his teacher warning him for his late coming to school. One day in school Zahra saw her shoes. One girl wear the shoes, she follow that girl and found her house. After she gone with his brother Ali to that girl house. They saw her and her family, her father was a blind man. They came home speaking about Zahra's shoes. Next day Ali got a good grade in his school and his teacher was praised him a pen. He took this pen and give to her sister. Zahra wsa happy to this. After Ali was going with his father to help him to his work was a garden cleaner & garden maker. They working and got an much of money they were so happy. Ali asking his father to buy a set of shoes for Zahra. His father told him buy a new sneakers to you and Zahra. At that time they met with an accident after they came their home with the help of a truck van. After in Ali's school arranged a running race competition. he couldn't register his name first. After he begging his PT
master to register his name. The PT master allowed him to a competition. He told Zahra he own the race he could exchange the shoes. But he own the race First. IF he own third he winning the shoes. But he own third. He came home and his father buy an set of shoes for them.
Really the story " CHILDREN OF HEAVEN" is a great story for the true love between the brother and sister.
At the same time Ali was an 9 years aged boy he would like to helping his family!!.........

ReplyDeleteThe Story is written by the director Majid Majidi.This story is someway different from the tamil movie stories.Inspite of children’s father is gardener he wants to satisfy his family members when he earn lot of money.The two children’s are very helpful to their father and mother.This story shows the love between Ali and Zahra,the son and his father.In the age of the children they did not bother about anything except playing with other child.They didn’t know whether he/she is good character.Their motive is to play.So the director gives the title for this story “CHILDREN OF HEAVEN”.The girl first ashamed to wear the boy’s shoe.But that shoe is only helpful for the boy to win first prize.The boy missed the sister’s shoe,so he convinced his sister by giving her a pencil,pen for the purpose of not saying to his father and mother.The girl also accept that she didn’t sayanything to her father and mother.Both of them shared the boy’s shoe for school.This shows the unity of children.The boy’s goal is to win third prize because in third prize only they give him a new sneakers.But the boy won first prize.Because one boy pushed him and he fell down.He didn’t lose his energy and his hope.So he ran very fast and became a winner.The HM and the coach is also encouraging him to reach the goal.The boy goes sadly to house.The girl excited to see his brother Ali bought a new sneakers but saw his brother’s face sadly that she understood Ali didn’t bought a sneaker.But her father bought a new sneaker which is she loved in the shop.

ReplyDeleteThe movie CHILDREN OF HEAVEN made of Iranian background is a heart touching one. the theme of the movie was represented through the characters of Ali & Zahara built up with a story on shoes.they are from a poor family whose father was a tea seller and has a mother suffering from illness.both of them helped their parents in all the way they can Ali's character shows the maturity of a 9 year old boy when he the responsibility of helping their parents. despite of poverty they are kind hearted and has love towards each other .eventhough Ali lost Zahara's shoes she understood the situation and managed it tacking care of each other. the director teared the curtain which showed only a part of Iran on wars and displayed their love towards each other to the globe and makes us think that love is the oxygen of life present everywhere

ReplyDeleteThe short film ”children of heaven” brought a great change in my mind. I witnessed the desires, sufferings and of course the love and affection of the poor people through the two main characters ali and Zahra. They both taught me the patience . Even though both are very small in their age they adjusted a lot of things in their family. They understand the situation of their family and help their parents. By taking care of the little baby zahra’s maturity is revealed. We all atleast have two pairs of slippers and some may have many to match their dress. But these children share only one sneaker to go their school. If during the rainy day, when we go to school if our shoe is wet we shout at our mom. But even when her brother lost her shoes she doesn’t complain anything to her parents and ali also gave his shoes to Zahra, they both taught me the character of adjusting. When Zahra found hat pink shoes weared by one of his school mate, they both went to that girl’s house to get her shoes back. But when they found that girl’s dad is blind, they came back without asking anything. Even though they are in trouble and poverty they understand the sufferings of others. And in one scene when Zahra asked her dad to use the sugar piece from the one which belongs to mosque, ali’s dad refused and used the one in their home. He was true to himself and also he taught good things to his son and daughter. We always desire for the first place but ali desired for the third place in the running race to win a shoe the sneakers for his sister. It showed the affection between them. They are blessed with the characters of patience, to show affection, to tolerate the bad situations and to have sympathy on others. So these too are children of heaven to be blessed with these characters.

ReplyDeleteThis story brought a great influence in myself. The family as a whole fight towards their drastical situation. This story tells us not only about the shoe and it’s recovery but also the status and life of poor people. Ali and Zahra doesn’t show their trouble to parents and they help them a lot. The scene of changing their shoes explained their pain and also affection. Even in hardships ali study well and got second place in his class. When Zahra and ali found that when the dad of the girl who weared zahra’s pink shoe was blind they understand their situation and they returned without asking them. It shows their great quality. Finally in the end ali wished to win third place in the running race. Since the affection between ali and Zahra was much greater he got the first place. Though he can’t got the third place to get the sneakers he is the real winner. These two are children of heaven because both are blessed with great qualities which made ali to win.

PLOT:
This movie was an IRANIAN movie written by
MAJID MAJIDI in 1997.This movie is completely based on ALI and ZAHRA.
This movie starts with a pair of shoes which was repaired by a
cobbler. Ali fetched the shoes and went to by some potatoes where lost
the shoes. He didn’t say this to his father because his family
financial situation was poor. When Zahra want to say this to his
father Ali convinced her. They both shared the sneakers .Zahra wear
the sneakers and go to school in the morning and then Ali in the
midday. One day ALI shouted at Zahra for being late so she again
wanted to say this to his father but Ali convinced her by giving a
pen. After someday Zahra saw a girl wearing her shoe she followed her
and find hers house. The next day they both went to get the shoes from
her after they came to know that his father was blind they left the
place silently.
Their father got an opportunity to earn money so ALI and his father
went. Their ALI got a new friend they both enjoyed meanwhile his
father was doing his work. He got lot of money he wanted to spent this
to buy everything that is needed. At the same time ALI got an
opportunity to participate in a racebut he refused it. When he saw
that the third price was a pair of sneakers he convinced his PT master
to allow him to participate in the race by saying that he will win .He
participated and won the first price but he was not happy because he
wanted to come third for his sister . At the same time his father
bought a new shoes for both of them .
This movie made me to feel sentimental . It completely changed our
thought that what IRAN is.We think that IRAN is a war field and the
people follow some sort of untouchability but this movie is completely
different .The two children understand the family situation and
managed their situation by sharing their sneakers. This is a very
interesting movie.

The story " The children of heaven " comes around the family of four members in Iran. The four characters involved here are Ali, Zahara their Mom and Dad.
The story portrays the brotherly love of Ali towards his cute sister Zahara. This
is evidently proved, when the story moves on. Ali had lost Zahara's shoes. And how
they two managed this situation without making it obvious to their parents was
the most interesting part of the movie. Moreover their cute expressions over
the movie was an added flavours. Eventhough they are not wealthwise rich they
are healthwise rich. Without her shoes, Zahara was supposed to go to her school
with Ali's shoes and after her classes got over she used to move fast from there
to her brother waiting for the shoes. Then only he would be able to go to his school.
Since he is very well-versed in running, while rushing to the school he is capable
enough to come across the marathon race as the "WINNER". Being the winner
he was not fully satisfied because he was longing for the third prize [shoes].
After all this happenings they are about to get a new pair of shoes from their father.
The story goes on with a sentimental mood.
I'm moved by the story.

CHILDREN OF HEAVEN, a film by Iranian filmmaker, Majid Majidi, takes us into the world of a little boy and his sister, letting us feel the love and trust that they have in each other. The boy, through no fault of his own, loses his little sister's newly repaired school shoes the day before she needs them. It becomes their secret. They try sharing a pair of his sneakers - the girl wearing them in the morning and he in the afternoon to school. The wonderful, innocent faces of the beautiful Iranian children and their code of honor, even in poverty, provides the bases for a very uplifting tale of children trying to overcome a crisis. The direction, cinematography, music are all outstanding -but it is the children that you will fall in love with.
